By-Laws Update

Ut-In Sélica’s By-Laws committee has put a lot of time and effort into updating the Lodge By-Laws. You can red their proposal here: http://wekwek.org/assets/proposed_bylaws.pdf.

The Lodge Chiefs’ Council will vote on them Wednesday night, February 3rd, so if you have any questios or concerns, contact your Apanuc Chief before Wednesday night!

Got Regalia?

For the first time in many years, Wek-Wek is putting together its own Ceremonies team!

We’re also starting to get requests for Elections, so we need to create some election teams.

If you’d like to join in, gather up all of your regalia and costumes, and join us at our regular Apanuc meeting, on Thursday, December 3rd at 7:00, at the LDS Church on Denkinger Road.

We have a lot going on this week.

Ut-In Sélica Lodge has asked us to switch Ordeals for the coming year, so we, along with Sam-Yeto Apanuc, will be hosting the June Wolfeboro Ordeal instead of October. When you went through your Ordeal and Brotherhood ceremonies, you probably noticed that it was a lot more impressive when the Ceremonies team had their act together. So, we need to start working on our Ceremonies team as soon as possible.

Next Saturday, November 7th, is a work day at Camp Herms. If you can spare some time for cheerful service, go check it out.

If you went through your Ordeal in 2008, or any time before that, you are eligible for Brotherhood. And, as luck will have it, Ut-In Sélica will be hosting a Brotherhood class and ceremony at the Herms work day.

We had a great time at last night’s Lodge Banquet. We had a good attendance from Wek-Wek, and I was very pleased with the way things turned out. You should be proud of yourselves.

There’s less than a week to go until Ut-In Sélica’s Lodge Banquet. It will be on Saturday, October 17th and will be located at:

Calvary Baptist Church
2140 Olivera Court in Concord

  • Set-Up will be at 2:30,
  • Chiefs’ Council will be at 4:00, and
  • Dinner will be at 6:00.
  • Since Wek-Wek is hosting the Banquet, it would be great if we had a large turn-out from Muir District. Cost is only $15, and if you haven’t registered yet, you can do so at https://secure.bsa-mdsc.org/registration/calendardetail.asp?ActivityKey=653731

    Welcome Back!

Wek-Wek Gazette-Gazette went offline for a while over the weekend, while I moved it onto a different server.

The good news is that I have more control over the site, giving us more security, and a fresher, cleaner look. And check out the newly-revised calendar page. I hope you find it helpful.

The bad news is that the move lost all of our registered users. For that I apologize, and I hope you all will register on the new site.

Wek-Wek’s regular Apanuc meeting is this Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00 at the LDS Church on Denkinger.  We have lots to discuss.

Conclave is coming soon (September 18-20), and Ut-In Selica  is the Host Lodge.  Section W-3N will be buying T-Shirts for the host Lodge.

Also at Conclave, WhereToGoCamping.info will, for the first time, be soliciting camping information information from people outside our own Apanuc.  We need to be ready.

AND, less than a month after Conclave,  Wek-Wek is hosting the Lodge Banquet.

I’ve moved the Apanuc Calendar from the website to Wek-Wek Gazette-Gazette, where I hope it will be easier to keep updated as well as find events.

Thursday, August the 6th will be the Muir District Kickoff, at the LDS Church on Denkinger Road.

All Arrowmen should come with their Troops, but be sure to bring your Sash.  We’ll have a brief meeting at 7:00.

First things first: Congratulations to our new chief, Chris Jungenberg from Troop 317.

Also, Daniel Jungenberg is the Vice Chief, and Aric Bauer is the new Program Chief.
Stephen Hansen from Troop 429 was elected as Events Chief for Ut-In Sélica Lodge.

Our regular Apanuc meeting will be this Thursday, June 4th, at 7:00 at the LDS Church on Denkinger.  I will not be bringing pizza to this meeting, but instead, we’ll have a End-of-Year pizza party after the Ordeal.
