We will be replacing mattress covers throughout the berthing areas, and then we’ll be able to tour the ship. There will also be an opportunity to get your Brotherhood.

This was a good weekend to be at Camp Herms. Saturday featured some service to the Camp, some fun, Indian lore, Brotherhood, and a lot of good food. Saturday night, five of Ut-In Sélica’s Arrowmen kept their Vigil, including our own Dan Smith. Congratulations to all!

Oh Yeah!
We didn’t have a Spring Camporee because we were all involved with the Northern California Jamboree, so Muir District is hosting a Skill-O-Ree on October 22nd-24th.
Wek-Wek is hosting the Geo-caching and wheelbarrow events.

Camp Masonite Navarro was a spectacular location for Conclave. Those redwood trees are truly awesome. And the route was straightforward, even if the highway wasn’t. Everyone that went had a really great time.

We handed out a lot of cards and promoted WhereToGoCamping.info.

In the meantime, here are some pictures I took:

Next year’s Conclave will be a little closer, at Two Rock Coast Guard base.

Wek-Wek will not meet in July.  Instead, all Arrowmen should go camping.  And when you get back, tell us about it.

Go to http://WhereToGoCamping.info, log on, and tell us about where you went, and what you liked or didn’t like about it.    This is one of the services that we provide to other scouts, including the ones that elected you into the Order of the Arrow.

This past weekend, Wek-Wek, along with Sem Yeto Apanuc, hosted Ut-In Sélica’s Spring Ordeal at Camp Wolfeboro. And, for the first time in several years, Wek-Wek provided a Ceremonies Team.Ceremonies Team practice
The Ordeal was very well attended by 53 Arrowmen and 70 candidates. Arrowmen of Wek-Wek did a great job of providing leadership, ceremonies, and a lot of cheerful service for this Ordeal.

On this Memorial Day, we remember Eagle Scout Scott Barnett, from Muir District’s Troop 1994, who was killed in action in Tallil, Iraq, on January 28, 2010.

Rest in Peace!
